ALSO KNOWN AS Capcaisin, Cayenne, Chili, Chili Peppers (sometimes spelt chilli) Guinea spice, Cow Horn Pepper, aleva pepper or bird pepper, red pepper, paprikaORIGINA member of the Solanaceae (nightshade) family native to the Americas.
PARTS USED Fruit including seeds.
SUGGESTED DOSAGE Tincture: Take 1 - 3 ml up to 3 times a day for treating internal problems Ratio: 1:3 Alcohol: 70%
ALTHOUGH CAPSICUM CAN BE USEFUL IN FIRST AID SITUATIONS, APPROPRIATE MEDICAL OR EMERGENCY ATTENTION SHOULD ALWAYS BE SOUGHT External Bleeding: flush area with appropriate amount of Capsicum Tincture Internal Bleeding: 1 to 5 ml 3 times per day Breathing Problems: 1 - 2 ml taken orally , repeat every 5 mins as necessary Heart Attack: 5 - 10 ml taken orally
PRECAUTIONS Topical applications: May cause inflammation or some sort of reddening or burning at the site of application stop applying. May also cause a sustained loss of feeling at the site of application seek medical attention.
Taken internally: Sickness, flatulence, heartburn, sweats, running nose & watering eyes, or diarrhoea may occur.
