Here is our selection of Herbs, Superfoods and Whole foods for children. It is not recommended to use anything too strong for children under 12 years old, and generally the preparation needs to be palatable. As a guide these are the doses recommended:-


6mths-1yr = 12% Adult dose.
1yr-2yr = 25% Adult dose.
3yrs-7yrs = 50% Adult dose.
7yrs-12yrs = 75% Adult dose.


Herbal tea, tinctures and powders are all safe for children to take. Whole foods can form part of a healthy diet. When giving herbs, powders or superfoods to children, it is recommended to observe closely how they are feeling, and if they are having any adverse reaction. It is also recommended to experiment with making them taste good, and educating our children that being healthy is fun and pleasurable.

Herbal tea and tinctures can be sweetened with honey ( after the alcohol has been evaporated) Powders can be blended with milk and banana. Nuts can be made into nut butters and nut milks.

Almonds also lower the Glycemic Index of a other foods, and ensure the slow and stable release of energy into the blood. They are also helpful in maintaining a balanced blood sugar level.
