How to take Herbal Tinctures

Herbal tinctures are really easy to take.

You can measure the recommended daily dose, and mix it with water or fruit juice and just drink it as it comes. We always send a little Plastic 25ml measuring cup with the tincture in case you don't have one in the house.

However if you do not want to consume the alcohol that the tincture is held in for whatever reason (and i always do this for our kids) then you can evaporate the alcohol away.
I do this by putting a cup of water into a pan and then add the tinctures, I bring it to the boil and then turn off the heat and leave for 10 minutes to let all the ethanol in the tincture evaporate. Then I add this water to some fruit juice or pure water and simply drink. For the kids i may add some honey if the tincture is bitter.
