Mandarin has a soothing effect on the emotional body and can bring relief in the case of insomnia, anxiety, low mood and stress. With its beautiful sunshine colour the essential oil is actually nourishing to the nervous system. PREPARATIONS:Mandarin essential oil can be used in the bath to nourish the emotions, mind and spirit. It can be added to a carrier oil to nourish the skin, and added to a carrier cream to rub on the abdomen when the stomach is upset. See

FOLKLORE AND HISTORYMandarin peel has been a medicine in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It is used to balance and strengthen liver qi. This fruit derived its name from Mandarins, who were the imperial officials in pre-revolutionary China.
CONSTITUENTSMonoterpenes as y-terpinene, Limonene, pinenes, myrcene, p-cymene, alcohols as linalool, citronellol, esters as methylanthranilate, aldehydes as decanol, sinensal, citral, citronellal and other.
TYPICAL PREPARATIONS AND DOSAGEUse 6-8 drops of essential oil in a bath, 2-4 drops in an oil burner and 10 -18 drops per 30ml of carrier oil. See
