Menthyl crystals are an organic compound that have been synthetically extracted from Peppermint oil. When the crystals are burnt as incense they release an extremely powerful minty aroma. It is useful to inhale during a cough or cold, as it can unblock nasal passageways, sinuses and a heavy head.
Other uses: Menthyl crystals are used in many preparations such as tigers balm, and cough cold expectorant balms for the chest
