The Indigo Herbs Quality Assurance scheme has been designed to ensure that our consumable products;

- Have full traceability . From the batch number, which appears with the best before date on each item, we can trace the full details of all the ingredients a product contains.
- Only contain ingredients supplied by suppliers who follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). GMP is a system that includes assurances, checks and procedures that ensure products are appropriately safe and effective.
- Only contain ingredients that meet our quality standards with regard to microbiological, heavy metal and pesticide levels.
- Are correctly botanically identified .
- Meet pharmacoepial standards where appropriate.
- Are 100% free from bulking agents.
- Are produced in facilities compliant with health & safety guidlines and are inspected by the Environmental Health Departments of their relevant local governments. Our facilities here in Glastonbury are compliant with HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) and inspected by the Environmental Health Department of Mendip District Council. We also have our own independant environmental health & health and safety consultants.
We have devised a graphical system to confirm that products meet our general quality standards and to highlight those that are also organically farmed or wild-crafted. To find out more about each quality standard, click on the grade you are interested in above or just read on.
Here at Indigo Herbs we take quality very seriously. In fact the success of our business is largely based on our many satisfied customers who buy their wholefoods, herbs and superfoods from us month in, month out, confident that they are buying the best quality wholefoods, herbs and superfoods available.
