Hello and welcome to the new Indigo Herbs blog about my superfood diet trial!
I’d like to introduce myself. My name’s Krissy, 41 year old mum of 3. Although I’m pretty good friends with all at Indigo Herbs, I’ve always been very sceptical about all these groovy superfood supplements, and whether the cost reflects the health benefits they claim to offer. So when I was invited to try a superfood diet for myself, and write a down-to-earth, honest, unbiased blog, I was up for it.

Indigo Herbs customer and author of the ‘Let’s bake today’ blog, Karin Momberg has invented a new twist to an old favourite recipe – Lucuma Pretzels. And what’s more, Karin has generously agreed to share the recipe here at Indigo Herbs. I must say they certainly look delicious in Karin’s photo’s and according to her blog they are EVEN MORE DELICIOUS THAN CHOCOLATE PRETZELS!!!
Well, Lucuma is one of Latin America’s most popular flavours after all.
The recipe is quite straightforward and I’m looking forward to this weekend when i’m going to try it out with my kids.

Summer, Sunrise, Seeds & Special Offers.
Welcome to our April newsletter, and what a bumper month it has been.
For all those who haven’t been in the UK during the past month, the weather has been unseasonably hot. And because we celebrate Easter based on the lunar calendar, this year’s bank holiday is almost as late as it can be, so the weather has just continued to warm up. Delicious.
This pattern is set to continue, and here at Indigo Herbs it’s all fingers crossed that it will be perfect again for this year’s Sunrise Celebration Festival, which we are sponsoring. More on this below. Also below, some information on our range of highly nutritious seeds which we have added to our website. And recipes and information about Mulberries – our special offer of the month. Finally, at the bottom, are details of our monthly discount code.

Raw Chocolate making
So why is Raw Chocolate becoming more popular than commercial Chocolate?
Raw chocolate is the modern day Food of the Gods. However it is still an ancient Mayan secret that the active
ingredients in Raw chocolate are mood changing, spiritually uplifting and evolutionary.
Why?
This is because over 80% of the feel good compounds are destroyed when the raw ingredients of chocolate are heated and processed. The Mayans knew about the
Raw Cacao bean’s amazing life enhancing properties.
Life enhancing properties?
This wonderful
Raw Cacao Chocolate bean has some very interesting properties, it is imbued with phyto chemicals namely Theobromine, Anandamide and Phenylethylamine. These are 3 active compounds that stimulate the release of Serotonin, Dopamine and other feel good, blissful brain chemicals.

As a hands-on dad of twins, time management has become vital to getting anything done, so the the question became what is quick to make, will be filling, delicious and nutritious? A veggie omelette was quickly in mind and I started cracking eggs whilst mum started chopping up some veg she had recently brought up from the garden.
I had recently brought home a bag of Wakame kelp from Indigo Herbs with a view to trying it out. So, being an adventurous kind of chef I decided to read this entry »
