Hours: 17 Hours per Week (Tuesday 9-5:30, Wednesday 9-5:30)
Pay rate: £8.42 - £8.96
Location: Glastonbury
Closing Date: 1st July


The role

You will be joining Indigo Herbs as a Customer Service Operative. This is an exciting, challenging and very broad role typical of a small company. The customer service elements of the role are an absolutely critical part of our ongoing success.

Your Customer Service tasks will include (but are not limited to):

·         Telephone reception

·         Answering Customer service and Sales queries ('phone, email and occasionally letters)

·         Authorising wholesale and practitioner accounts

·         Undertaking outgoing customer service tasks

·         Dealing with visitors

·         Performing various tasks throughout the entire order life-cycle including obtaining shipping quotes, taking payments, processing refunds, managing stock levels etc.

·         Various tasks related to our quality management system

·         Receiving and distributing the post

·         Responding to customer reviews across all channels


As part of a growing business, you must be diligent and flexible in all tasks assigned.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a person who can thrive in a multi-tasking environment, keeping well organised and good humoured regardless of the demands. They will need to be someone who wants to contribute to the success of the company and is willing to go the extra mile in order to do so. They must therefore possess the following attributes:

·         Confident IT skills

·         Excellent office software skills (word processing, spreadsheets etc)

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English).

·         Other languages would be an advantage

·         Extremely good organisational and time management skills even in a multi-tasking environment

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and good at building rapport with customers and staff

·         Good numerical skills

·         Professional manner when dealing with confidential information and paperwork

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn how to use new systems

·         Ability to work under pressure
