Indigo Herbs is a well-established and fast growing manufacturer and online retailer of nautural health & nutrition products. We currently sell both nationally and internationally to retail and trade customers. All products are manufactured on site as under our own brands and we have over 500 different product lines.  Indigo Herbs is an expanding business in the fast growing health foods sector. We are looking for permanent and temporary manufacturing operatives to fill current vacancies.

Previous relevant experience is useful but full training will be given. As we are such a dynamic and fast growing business, this could be a great opportunity for successful candidates to become key members of our team and develop their career.

Opportunity details

Contract type: We currently have both permanent and temporary positions available (subject to sucessful completion of a probationary period)

Start date: August 2017

Hours: Various shifts available throughout the week (Mon to Fri, 9.00 to 5.30) plus overtime

Pay rate: £7.00 to £8.00 per hour depending on experience.

Location: Glastonbury

The Role

The job is  a variety of products products in.

The Manufacture operative role is to work in the manufacture and fulfilment facility, preparing & packing up the Indigo herbs products. This involves both packing down single ingredients and following recipes to blend ingredients and then packing them into retail units. The work is very varied and attention to quality & detail is a must. This job also involves cleaning of the manufacture unit during and after each batch run, abiding by health and safety, organic and quality policies and any other tasks delegated from time to time.

The Successful Candidate

  • Preferably have relevant experience for this kind of role.
  • Be accurate and precise with relentless attention to detail.
  • Have attention to the whole work flow through the production unit, and consistently demonstrate care and attention.
  • Be focused and determined, and able to maintain standards and work at a fast pace.
  • Have a strong ability to manage time and meet deadlines and targets.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills; listening, writing and speaking.
  • Be a team player, and be able to get on with others.
  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • Food Hygiene training or experience would be an asset.
  • Have good numeracy skills: Weighing, calculating, number accuracy.
  • Have good IT skills.
