Green powders are full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, making them a micronutrient powerhouse! If you’re not a fan of greens, don’t have access to a variety of leafy green vegetables, or simply want to add more nutrient density to your diet, green powders can be a brilliant addition to your daily regimen.

Whilst plant powders can be added to anything from plain water to juices and smoothies, green powders can have a particularly earthy, and sometimes bitter flavour. This makes them a bit trickier to simply add to everything.

Here’s a handy guide on how to use green powders so that you can actually enjoy them in your daily meals.

In Tea!

If you’re a fan of herbal tea, add up to a tablespoon of your preferred green powder to a tea pot together with your favourite tea and allow to steep. Strain as usual and enjoy. Otherwise, try adding ½ - 1 tsp of green powder to your next cuppa of herbal tea and see how it tastes. Combining green powders with matcha or sencha is also a great way to add them to your daily tea regimen.

Smoothies

Sneaking green powders into smoothies is a fantastic way to ensure you’re getting those extra micronutrients.
