Raw Vegan Hazelnut Butter Filled Chocolates

With an irresistibly gooey and raw hazelnut butter centre, these Christmas chocolates are the perfect treat for kids and grown-ups alike this festive season. Made with antioxidant boosting raw cacao and sweetened with just a little agave syrup, they’re a dairy and refined sugar free twist on one of our favourite treats, happy days!


Equipment

A small pan

Chocolate silicone moulds

A silicone spatula

Baking sheet

A heatproof bowl

A couple of tablespoons

Method

Print

  1. Fill a small pan with an inch of boiling water.  Add the cacao butter to a heat proof bowl and place into the pan.  On a low heat, stir the cacao butter until fully melted.
  2. Add the cacao powder and agave syrup and mix well. 
  3. Pour a little melted chocolate into each silicone mould, enough to cover the bottom. Set in the freezer for 10 minutes. 
  4. When the base is set, remove from the freezer and add a tablespoon of hazelnut butter to the centre of each chocolate (with a bit of a sea salt sprinkled over at this stage for extra crunch across each chocolate mould) if using a medium mould or half a tablespoon for a small mould.  Cover with the remaining melted chocolate and place back in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set. 
  5. Once set, remove from the moulds and enjoy with your loved ones, a perfect edible gift, too!
