
Here is a simple way to get the wonderfully adaptogenic herbs ashwaganda and maca into your breakfast smoothie everyday. Sweetness from maca powder, banana, cinnamon and apricots masks the often bitter taste of the powdered ashwagandha root. Make it creamy with nut butter of your choice and a handfull of oats to get you through the morning. Ingredients
- 1 medium banana
- 300 ml plant milk of choice
Method
- To make apricot puree soak a handful of dried apricots overnight in enough water to cover them. Without draining, whizz the fruit up in a blender to form a paste. Keeps in fridge for a week
- For smoothie - pour the milk into a blender or smoothie maker then add all the rest of the ingredients. Blitz until smooth and serve immediately.
