Cacao, Maple & Strawberry Easter Eggs Recipe

These pure chocolate eggs are super quick and simple to make and have a really yummy melt-in-the-mouth texture with little gems of freeze dried strawberry scattered throughout. Chocolate & berries combination is divine! All the family will love these, this Easter.

  • Bain Marie (Saucepan & Glass Bowl)
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Easter Egg Moulds
  • Freezer


  1. Firstly, gently melt the cacao butter in a bain marie until fully liquified. 
  2. Stir through the cacao powder and maple syrup with a wooden spoon so that it is well combined and really smooth.
  3. Take the chocolate mixture off the heat.
  4. Add a small pinch of salt and vanilla powder and stir these through the mixture.
  5. Finally, sprinkle in a handful of freeze dried berries and fold these into the chocolate also.
  6. Pour the mixture into your Easter egg mould and garnish with some extra freeze dried berries.
  7. Pop these into the freezer or at least an hour to set before removing them from the moulds.
  8. Sprinkle over rose petals. 
  9. Hide for a hunt or share & enjoy!
