Danielle's Superfood Bliss Balls recipe has a base mixture of crushed nuts and are so are full of protein, energy and minerals. The dates add sweetness while the Chia and Linseeds contribute their interesting phytochemicals and texture. They are then flavoured with either Wheatgrass Powder, Acai Powder or Spirulina Powder. This gives each ball a specific twist to enjoy. The best thing is that they are all very filling and just eating one can give you enough strength and power to last till the next meal.

Method

MAKING THE MIX

  1. Take the Mixed Nuts and chop them in your food processor until they become crumb
  2. Whilst doing this, soak your dates for 5 mins in hot water to make them extra juicy
  3. Add the desicatted Coconut, Linseeds and Chia Seeds and blend them into the mix
  4. Then add the soaked Dates and also the Cacao Powder and blend again
  5. Divide your soft mixture into three equal parts 

ADDING THE FLAVOURING

  1. With each part of the mix we will now add the Superfood flavouring
  2. Place one third of the mixture into the blender and add a teaspoon of Spirulina Powder
  3. Blend a little more until the Spirulina Powder has mixed in.
  4. Then roll the mixture into balls 
  5. Each ball can then be rolled in the Spirulina Powder to add extra flavour
  6. Reapeat steps 1-5 of 'ADDING THE FLAVOURING'  with the Acai Powder and Wheatgrass Powder to complete the process
