Superfood Almond Butter Bars Recipe

A delicious, homemade snack bar recipe. Packed full with nutritious superfoods and energy boosting ingredients. An ideal snack for on the go or to give you a natural sweet boost.



  1. Line a 9x13in tin or tub with greaseproof paper.
  2. Mix together the oats, puffed quinoa, dates, chia seeds, hemp seeds, buckwheat, cacao nibs and maca powder if using.
  3. Place the almond butter, maple syrup and coconut sugar in a pan and cook on a medium heat for a few minutes until melted and bubbles gently.
  4. Pour this into the dry ingredients immediately and mix well to combine. Tip into the lined tin/tub and press down with your hands evenly. Set aside.
  5. Gently heat the coconut oil, almond butter and maple syrup then remove from the heat and whisk in the cacao powder to form a smooth sauce.
  6. Pour this over the base to cover in a generous layer then scatter over the flaked almonds and cacao nibs. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set.
  7. When ready to serve, remove from the tin/tub, place on a chopping board and cut into 8 bars.
  8. Eat and enjoy!
