Inspired by one of our blogger's guilty pleasures, these tasty, healthy granola bars have all the taste with only a fraction of the calories! Bursting with nutty, seedy goodness - these bars are a great snack if you're on the go and just need a boost to keep you going until your next meal.
Equipment
- Square or Rectangular Baking Tin
- Saucepan
- Wooden Spoon
- Spatula
Ingredients
- 120g Raisins or other Dried Fruit
- 60g Glace Cherries
- 150g Organic Porridge Oats
Method
- Preheat your oven to 190C//gas 5 (170C for fan ovens). Grease and line a square or rectangular tin.
- Put the low-fat spread or coconut oil and agave syrup into a medium-sized sauce pan and allow it to melt over a low heat, stirring continously.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the tin and level it out (a spatula is very handy for this!)
- Place onto the top shelf of the oven and bake for 20 mins, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then carefully remove from the baking parchment and tin and slice into 12 squares.
