Lavender & Tea Tree Cold Compress Recipe

This aromatherapy cold compress is easy to make and fantastic as a first aid for insect bites, bruises & bumps. Tea tree acts as a powerful anti-microbial & antiseptic. It is not only completely natural & calming but it smells absolutely gorgeous! This natural aid also works to relieve headaches.

Equipment
  • 1 x Bowl
  • Clean Cloth/Muslin
  • Cling-Film

Method
  1. Firstly fill your bowl with the cold water and add the drops of essential oil, which will spread out and make a film on top of the water.
  2. Then dip your cloth into the water so it picks up as much of the essential oil as possible.
  3. Then wring out the cloth and place onto the affected area, covering it with the cling-film.
  4. Leave the cold compress on until it reaches body temperature, so for about 5 minutes.
  5. Then keep replacing with a fresh compress until the pain has subsided.
