Soothe the itch that comes with chicken pox by creating your own anti-itch remedy. Made from all natural health ingredients, with a beautiful aroma from the lavender oil. It is easy to make and suitable for children and adults. This will keep for up to a week, but it’s likely you’ll be making a new batch every couple of days until those pesky chicken pox spots have gone! It also makes a good ‘summer skin’ soother, and is great to apply to insect bites.
Equipment
- Small Mixing Bowl
- Mixing Spoon
- Jar with Lid
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 4-6 Tbsp Cold Water
Method
- Place the bentonite clay, baking powder and pink salt into a small mixing bowl and stir together.
- Add the lavender essential oil and stir again.
- Now, add 4 - 6 tbsp of water one at a time mixing inbetween until you have made a thick paste. Stop adding water when you do.
- When you have made your paste, spoon it into a small jar. Don’t put the lid on straight away, as it is likely to fizz up and expand a little. Instead, use straight from the jar, and put the lid on when it has settled.
