Refreshing Matcha & Lime Iced Tea Recipe

Matcha Iced Tea is a very refreshing drink, with a definate kick to increase your metalbolism. You'll be buzzing after this cool green beverage. The addition of lime, adds a familiar taste and compliments the strong matcha flavour. Super to sip on a hot day and share at a garden party! 

Note: Recommended dose of loose leaf tea is 1-2 tsp.

  • Large Jug
  • Kettle
  • Chopping Board & Knife
  • Large Metal Stirring Spoon
  • Serving Glasses
  • Optional: Large Bottle & Infuser


  1. Firstly, boil the kettle while you spoon 2 tsp of Matcha into a large jug.
  2. Pour boiling water into jug and leave for a few minutes to steep & cool. 
  3. Stir quickly for a few minutes. 
  4. Chop lime in half and squeeze half the lime into the green tea mixture.
  5. Add 1 handful of ice, stir more.
  6. At this point you want to leave the matcha & lime jug mixture in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight if possible, to completely steep.
  7. Just before you'd like to drink, take out of the fridge and mix well.
  8. Add more ice and chop the second half of the lime into slices, add a few to the jug and leave a few for the seperate serving glasses.
  9. If you wish to thin it out a little, add the extra cold water.
  10. We recommend pouring this mixture into a bottle with lid if you'd like to pop it onto the table at a garden party so it doesn't attract bugs. 
  11. For serving either pour straight into serving glasses or via a tea infuser incase there are still bits in the liquid.
  12. Add extra ice & lime in the serving glass if you wish. 
  13. Sip and enjoy in the sun!
