Tasty Tahini Truffles Recipe

Keep Refrigerated
Gluten Free Vegan Dairy Free

The use of tahini in these wonderfully soft and sweet truffles gives a lovely nutty taste as well as providing an array of essential vitamins and minerals. Much healthier than regular truffles, these are great to share with friends and family, they can also be a fabulous gift for those following a "free from" diet!

  1. Put all the ingredients except the sesame seeds in a bowl and mix until perfectly combined. Place in the fridge for an hour to firm up slightly.
  2. Scoop out a spoonful and quickly shape it into a ball shape with your fingertips (try not to handle it too much or it will warm up and get to soft). Roll in sesame seeds and transfer to a plate. Repeat and eat!

Try substituting the bitter cocoa for raw cacao powder

The health benefits of these delicious truffle treats come mainly from the sesame seeds and tahini. These seeds are certainly not small fry when it comes to packing a nutritional punch! Packed with antioxidant minerals such as zinc, copper and manganese - these minerals work together to gently detox our bodies from everyday pollutants and oxygen free radicals. With calcium, magnesium and phosphorus which all contribute to strong bones and healthy teeth, you can pander to your sweet tooth in the full knowledge you are also benefitting your health!
