This vegan Apple Pie is made with Amaranth Flour and Coconut Flour for pastry and uses agave and fruit to sweeten so no added sugar necessary!



  1. Chop up the apples and put them in a pan over a medium heat with a tbsp of water for about 30-45 minutes. Add more water if necessary.
  2. In a separate pan, dissolve the agave syrup in 50-70ml water and add the vannila extract
  3. In a bowl mix the amaranth flour and coconut flour. Add the olive oil and mix with your hand until it forms a crumbly texture. Add more flour or water if necessary. Put in the dough in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Prepare the crust by making two sheets out of your dough. Lightly grease a cooking pan with some olive oil and place one of the sheets into the bottom of your dish.
  5. Once the apples have cooled, mix in the cinnamon, agave syrup, walnuts and raisins.
  6. Pour the filling into your dish and lay the second sheet of dough over the top.
  7. Cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes of until golden brown.
