Agrimony

Agrimony is a perennial herb that grows to around 2 feet tall, covered in silky down with dark green leaves and small, bright yellow flower arranged tightly on individual spikes. It has been traditionally used since ancient times and was declared "a herb of princely authorite" by the famous Roman naturalist, Pliny the Elder. The word Agrimony is derived from the Greek "Argemone", meaning "that which heals the eye" due to the fact the ancient Greeks used it as a remedy for eye ailments. It was used by the Anglo-Saxons to staunch bleeding and heal wounds, whilst in other areas of Europe and the United States it was used to treat skin conditions, coughs and digestive issues.

Grab a teapot, a cafetiere or your tea making equipment of choice. The botanical ingredients can be made into an herbal tea by infusing the herb in boiling water. Use 1 cup of boiling water per person. Let the tea brew for 5 - 15 minutes. Strain and enjoy.

Serving:

Take 1-2 teaspoons of the herb per cup of boiling hot water

Manufacture Process

Indigo Herbs Agrimony loose Tea comes from plants that are grown for the specific use as tea. When this perennial is at peak maturity in late summer, the leaves and small stems are separated from the root and air dried in the shade so none of the chemical constituents are destroyed by the sun. The leaf cut is then tested again for any pollutants before being shipped. This process complies with GMP standards and has the Indigo Herbs seal of approval.
