Antrodia cinnamomea is known as “niu zhang zhi” or “zhang-yi” in its native Taiwan, where it is also known as the "fungus of fortune". Growing only inside the rotting heartwood of the indigenous Bull Camphor Tree, Cinnamomum kanekirai, Antrodia was discovered by the Taiwanese aborigines. Cinnamomum kanehirai is a broad-leafed evergreen tree that grows at altitudes of 450-2000 metres in low-elevation mountainous terrain. This peculiar combination of slow growth and host-specific requirements makes this mushroom one of the rarest in the world.

Antrodia Mushroom Powder consists of 100% pure antrodia mycelium, the part of the mushroom that grows underneath the surface of the substrate it's grown on. The mycelium holds slightly different properties to the fruiting body and can be taken like any other supplemental powder. Add this mushroom supplement to a liquid, smoothie or mix into food preparation.

Antrodia Mushroom Powder can be added to a liquid of your choice including smoothies and hot drinks. It blends excellently with other mushroom powders.

Serving: Up to 3 grams daily. 1 teaspoon equals 2 grams (1 tsp = 2g)

Antrodia Mushroom Powder is grown in a controlled environment on sterile wood based substrate. After the mushroom mycelium has reached maturity, it is harvested and put in specially designed vacuumed sealed dehumidifiers. After the drying process is over, the mushrooms are milled using a grade 80 mesh. There is absolutely nothing added to this Antrodia mycelium powder and it has been rigorously checked for foreign contaminants. All production is under GMP standards and is quality assured by Indigo Herbs.
