Ashoka Products

The Ashoka tree is one of the most legendary and sacred trees of India and holds an invaluable importance in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is believed Shakyamuni Buddha was born under an Ashoka tree in Lumbini Garden. This evergreen tree is one of the oldest known in its native India and grows to 15 - 20 metres high, producing sweet smelling, vibrantly coloured flowers throughout the year. All parts of the tree including the bark, leaves, flowers and seeds are used medicinally and as such it is known as a universal plant in Ayurveda.
As part of Indigo Herbs Organic Ayurvedic Tincture range, we are delighted to offer our customers Organic Ashoka Tincture. This powerful herb has been used for thousands of years to support female reproductive health and is considered a "woman's best friend" in the ancient Indian healing system of Ayurveda. The word "Ashoka" is derived from the Hindi word "ashok" which means "without sorrow" or "without grief".
