Bee pollen is considered one of nature’s most complete foods due to its comprehensive and balanced nutrient profile. Rich in the B vitamins; B1, B2 and B3 – these are essential for a healthy nervous system and powerful detoxifiers especially to the brain, often referred to as “anti-stress” or “morale” vitamins, when the nervous system is working optimally anxiety and stress can be greatly lessened. B vitamins also help the body convert macronutrients into usable energy – a lack of these vitamins can cause tiredness and stress as the body struggles to utilise food consumed.
Also high in vitamin C and iron – these two nutrients work together with vitamin C maximising iron absorption. Vitamin C is also highly antioxidant and crucial to the overall health of the body, especially in its efforts to fight off infections.
Bee Pollen is high in the essential mineral zinc which has antioxidant properties and is also an important component (along with the B vitamins) in metabolising macronutrients such as proteins and carbohydrates.
Also a great source of protein – bee pollen is a complete protein containing all 9 of the essential amino acids – sprinkle over a yoghurt or morning smoothie to give your breakfast a potent nutritional boost!
Integrating Superfoods into your daily diet is simple and easy. Superfoods are particularly dense in nutrients, and free from any bulking agents or fillers. By adding superfoods to your daily diet you can fortify your food with super nutrition. Try replacing breakfast with a superfood smoothie. The smoothie can be made with a base of nut milk, seed milk or non-dairy milk such as rice milk, alternatively the main body of the smoothie can be created with fruit or vegetable juices.
Then additional superfood and herb powders can be added to fortify the smoothie with extra beneficial properties, the powders are largely dissolvable and can be scooped in and then blended or shaken until fully mixed in. Superfoods can be easily added to breakfast cereals such as porridge, muesli or granola. The powders, berries, grains, seeds and nuts can also be added to soups, salads, stews, curries, and used as toppings for any meal.
Think about what you can replace in your daily diet with Superfoods. For full instructions go to our How to use Superfoods page.

Indigo Herbs Bee Pollen Powder comes from Spain and is considered the best in the world, harvested between April and May, after the rains have finished but before the summer when the bees stop collecting Bee Pollen. The collection method consists of a fine mesh connected to the hive main entrance which disconnects large chunks pollen that has collected on the legs of the bees which falls into a collection box. The pollen is only collected for 3-4 days each week and only for a period no longer than 4-5 weeks. This leaves the bees an abundant amount of pollen for them to eat without detracting from their essential reserves for the winter. The Pollen is then dried in special air dyers at a temperature no higher than 45ºC. Drying at this temperature insures that the nutritional quality of the pollen is not reduced by the use of irradiation and sterilization. The Bee Pollen is then milled into a coarse powder. Quality checks are made through sieving and then by human eye by experts to guarantee that there are absolutely no pollutants in Indigo Herbs Bee Pollen. Each batch can be traced back to each hive so that problems can be sorted out immediately. Our supplier takes great pride in the quality of this pollen.
Bee Pollen should be avoided by anyone with an allergy to honey or bees, medical attention should be sort immediately. Bee Pollen should also be avoided by diabetics.
