Chamomile is a powerful anti-inflammatory substance, it reduces inflammation, minimizes redness and decreases swelling, Chamomile Hydrolat can also be used for acne inflammation, eczema, psoriasis and rashes. Using Aromatherapy in your daily routine is simple, easy and can be enormously beneficial. Pure neat essential oils can be evaporated into the environment and inhaled while products that have already been diluted in an oil can be applied straight to the skin. There are lots of different ways to utilize the pure neat essential oils; these can be made into a room spray or used in an an essential oil burner/ vaporizer.

This is a lovely way to perfume an environment and essential oils are very good at affecting the mood, mind and emotions when evaporated into the air. Adding essential oils to your bath is the best way to ensure the oils are absorbed through the pores of the skin while also inhaling the vapors; maximum benefit can then be had whilst enjoying a soak. Additionally the neat oils can be diluted into a carrier medium. This can be a cream, body butter, face cream, vegetable body oil and bath salts to name a few. For full instructions go to our How to use Aromatherapy page.

Chamomile Hydrolat is a gentle and soothing floral water that is ideal for use on sensitive, delicate skin. With antibacterial qualities, it can also be used to disinfect wounds and to calm down itchy skin. It is gentle enough to use on babies and can be added to the bath or used as a calming room spritzer.

Chamomile Hydrolat is made during the steam distillation of plant matter that produces both essential oils and hydrolats. During the distillation of a plant, two products are extracted: essential oils, which are fat-soluble compounds, and flavoured waters (hydrolats). Both essential oils and flavoured waters contain the active ingredients of the plant from which they’re extracted. Essential oils and flavoured waters, called hydrolats (floral waters if they’re extracted from a flower), absorb the active ingredients of the plant from which they are extracted. But the levels of active ingredients in hydrolats are lower than in essential oils, which makes them more delicate and particularly suitable for sensitive skin. They are also preservative-free.

It is recommended to perform a patch test to check for allergic reactions. Do not apply to broken skin.
