Just reviewed the salad. This is very similar so mostly the same review. You either like or you don't. It's more marmitey than marmite. I like it a lot but i love the nutrition profile and being able get the benefits of seaweed from uk produced source. This is the flakes, it's a seasoning, more similar in texture to coarsely ground pepper than anything, though not flavour, it's salty and savoury. I also got the salad, which has larger thinner pieces and is softer and, ironically, flakier than the flakes. The flakes are really a cooking ingredient and need to be added to something, eg scrambled egg, and given a bit of time to rehydrate and soften.
