The leaves have a minor laxative effect and may cause loosening of the stools at higher amounts. Until more is known about Damiana's effects on the female hormonal system, it should be avoided during pregnancy.
The Damiana plant is prevalent throughout the arid hot sandy environs of Mexico. Indigo Herbs Damiana leaf Tea comes from high quality Damiana leaves that are usually harvested during flowering and are set out to be air dried until they turn a golden yellow colour.
After selection of the best individual dried leaf there is an inspection to guarantee there are no other constituents or pollutants on the plant material. This product is traditionally wild crafted since Damiana seed is very difficult to propagate in controlled environments. To make sure that all chemical constituents remain intact, this pure leaf has not been heat treated in any way.
