Here we have Indigo Herbs magnificent Goji Berry products. We supply whole Goji Berries, Organic Goji Berry Powder, Goji Berry Tincture and some delicious Goji Berry based guest products.
For 5,000 years the Goji tree has been used and cultivated in Mongolia, Tibet and China. In Tibetan and Chinese medicine Goji Berries are given a position of prominence in regard to their superiority as a dietary supplement.
This is complimented by the legend of the discovery of the Goji Berry tree. The legend tells of how during an investigation by a doctor in a remote part of the Himalayas he found a small Buddhist monastery where some of the monks lived to be very old. Investigating this phenomena the doctor found that the well which was situated next to the monastery wall had a vine like tree hanging over it. At the end of every summer the mature berries would naturally fall from the overhanging vine into the well water. The doctor concluded that the berries must be transmitting their essence into the water which was then drunk by the monks and giving them special longevity. In rural China there are still Goji trees in the wild that have been visited by generations of local villagers making use of this special berry.
One of the other names for Goji berries is Wolf Berry. This name derives from the meaning of 'Goji' which comes from the Chinese character 'gou' meaning dog or wolf. This hardy small evergreen tree loves alkaline soil and can withstand temperatures from -26°C to 40°C which are prevalent conditions from season to season in the Himalayas. The Goji tree doesn't bear fruit until it is at least 2 years old.
I was looking for a natural remedy for pain relief and came across Wild lettuce tincture for sale from Indigo Herbs, on Ebay. I was so impressed by the efficacy and quality of it that I looked up the website which opened up a whole treasure trove of products. I've since ordered 4 other tinctures and will be back for more. Brilliant!
