Guggul Products

Guggul is a small, thorny tree that is most commonly found in India, in the arid climates of states such as Rajasthan and Gujarat. Guggul is known by the Sanskrit name “Guggulu,” which means “protects from disease”. It oozes a gummy resin that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries, with Ayurvedic texts dating back to 600 BCE that recommend it for treating atherosclerosis. Guggulsterone is thought to be the bioactive constituent of the plant that is responsible for its therapeutic effects and it's other traditional uses are to manage cholesterol levels and to support the liver.
