The Incense and Resin blenders kit is packed with 100% natural aromatic combustible materials that have been used in incense making for thousands of years. The resins can be ground down with a mortar & pestle into a powder and blended together to create a unique and personal aroma. It is advisable to light a charcoal disk and try a few different resins together to experiment with how the different aromas work together. In traditional perfumery the maker would look for a base, middle and top note to balance the overall final aroma.
1. Take a lighter or match to a Charcoal disk, and when it is fully alight then set it safely into the charcoal disk holder.
2. When the charcoal disk has turned grey and ash-like, then add a small amount of the plant resin, powder, bark or chips.
3. The individual incenses can be ground down to powder in a pestle & mortar and blended with some of the other unique incense aromas. This blended fine powder can then be added to the charcoal disk.
4. This plant matter will begin to smolder and release an aromatic smoke.
5. Set the lid on the charcoal burner, and enjoy the sensual experience of the aroma pervading the room.
6. Add more incense when required.
To Store: Keep the incense in a sealed container to keep it fresh and preserve the natural aromas.

Manufacture Process
Botanical resin is tapped from different tree species. This is done by scraping the bark and allowing the resins to bleed out and harden. These hardened resins are called tears. There are numerous species and varieties of trees used, each producing a slightly different type of resin.
Tapping is ordinarily done 2 to 3 times a year with the final taps producing the best tears due to their higher aromatic chemical constituent content.
