Jergon Sacha

Jergon Sacha is a herbaceous perennial flowering plant of the Amazon rainforest understory. It consists of a long, thick stem borne from an underground rhizome, with deeply divided leaves, reaching a height of 2-4m. When fertile it produces a flower stem that can reach 1-2m in height, with a large, maroon flower with bright red-orange seeds. The trunk like plant stem has a mottled colouring, resembling a poisonous snake indigenous to the area in which it grows. The local people use the rhizome as an antidote to these snake bites and for it's cleansing properties. When brewed in a tea, Jergon Sacha has a light, nutty taste and aroma. Jergon Sacha Tincture can be added to water or fruit juice and taken when required.

Traditionally Taken: 2-3ml taken 2-3 times per day, or as directed by a Herbal Practitioner.

Jergon Sacha Tea can be made into a delicious hot drink by decocting the Jergon Sacha into boiling water. To make a tea decoction add 2 - 5 teaspoons of dried root to a pan and boil in 300ml - 350ml of water on a stove for 3 - 4 minutes. Strain into a mug and serve - up to 3 cups per day.

Indigo Herbs Jergon Sacha Tea is produced from mature Jergon Sacha plants that have been harvested for their roots. After the roots have been dug up and cleaned they are inspected for animal damage and selected for the best specimens to be cut and made into Jergon Sacha Tea. The selected roots are then dehydrated until there is little moisture in the plant material. The dried Jergon Sacha root is then tested for pollutants before being made ready for shipping.
