Our Wholefoods are 100% pure and unprocessed with nothing added. They are simple and easy to integrate into your daily diet. Seeds can be roasted or soaked and sprouted. Nuts can be made into nut milk, nut butter or snacked upon. Fruits can flavour a cake, bread or biscuits, or make a great topping to breakfast cereal.

Juniper Berries can be made in to a tea by adding 1 tsp of lightly crushed berries to a cup of boiling water. Steeped for 20 minutes and drain - drink the infusion twice a day. Juniper Berries can also be used in sweet and savoury dishes.

Reaching their peak potency in the autumn, the Juniper Berries are picked and the very best berries are selected. After the berries are meticulously cleaned, they are placed in dehydrators and slow dried keeping all the nutritional content absolutely intact. The berries come out in perfect condition ready to be tested for toxins and heavy metals. The berries are then made ready for shipping. Using Aromatherapy in your daily routine is simple, easy and can be enormously beneficial. Pure neat essential oils can be evaporated into the environment and inhaled while products that have already been diluted in an oil can be applied straight to the skin. There are lots of different ways to utilize the pure neat essential oils; these can be made into a room spray or used in an an essential oil burner/ vaporizer.

This is a lovely way to perfume an environment and essential oils are very good at affecting the mood, mind and emotions when evaporated into the air. Adding essential oils to your bath is the best way to ensure the oils are absorbed through the pores of the skin while also inhaling the vapors; maximum benefit can then be had whilst enjoying a soak. Additionally the neat oils can be diluted into a carrier medium. This can be a cream, body butter, face cream, vegetable body oil and bath salts to name a few. Juniper Berry essential oil can be used in the bath, or vaporized in an oil burner. It can be added to a massage oil or cream. Use 6-8 drops per bath and 10 -18 drops per 30ml of carrier oil. See Essential Oil Dosage Chart

Manufacture Process

Our essential oils are manufactured to GMP standards using steam distillation or cold pressing.

Indigo Herbs Juniper Berry Essential Oil is extracted using the "steam distillation" method. In this process the botanical material is placed in a still and steam is forced over the material. The hot steam helps to release the aromatic molecules from the plant material since the steam forces open the pockets in which the oils are kept. Molecules of the volatile oils then escape and evaporate into the steam. The temperature of the steam needs to be carefully controlled - just enough to force the plant material to let go of the essential oil, yet not too hot as to burn the plant material or the essential oil. The steam now containing the essential oil is passed through a cooling system to condense the steam which forms a liquid. The essential oil is then separated from the water and bottled, resulting in 100% pure essential oil.
