Macadamia nuts are nutrient rich powerhouses that are loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and healthy fats. Thought to have originated in Hawaii, the Macadamia nut is contained in a hard seed coating that's enclosed in a green husk which splits open when the nut matures. The creamy white kernel is made up of roughly 65% - 75% oil and up to 70% of this is oleic acid (omega 9). Applied topically, Omega 9 is a richly hydrating oil, excellent for restoring dry and dehydrated skin to supple and healthy looking skin. It provides exceptional protection whilst leaving skin feeling soft and smooth.

Suggested Use

Manufacture Process

Indigo Herbs Macadamia Nut Oil is extracted using the “cold pressing” method. Plants and plant parts are placed in a spike-filled container and slowly punctured. The cold press machines also utilise centrifugal force to help separate the oil from the rest of the plant pulp and liquid. The puncturing and spinning process releases the oils, which are then collected and bottled resulting in 100% pure, cold pressed oil.
