Manufacture Process
The Marigold Flowers that make up Indigo Herbs Marigold Flowers Tincture come from a perennial that flowers from Spring to Autumn. The flower heads are plucked and dried out of direct sunlight to ensure all the active chemical constituents are kept in the petal matter. After drying, the flowers are screened and tested for pollutants so only best petals are included in the process of cold percolation in order to extract the active constituents into tincture form. The cold percolation method employs a gradient circulation of the solution which keeps the plant ingredients in perpetual contact with the ethanol. This technique is faster and more efficient than maceration and ensures there is less waste of precious plant materials.
