Manufacture Process
The production process is very simple; the Mistletoe leaves are usually harvested during fruiting and are set out to be air dried until they have as little moisture in them as possible. After selection of the best individual dried leaf there follows testing to guarantee there are no other constituents or pollutants in the plant material. The dried mistletoe leaf then undergoes a process of cold percolation in order to extract the active constituents into tincture form. The cold percolation method employs a gradient circulation of the solution which keeps the plant ingredients in perpetual contact with the ethanol. This technique is faster and more efficient than maceration and ensures there is less waste of precious plant materials.
