Methylsulfonylmethane
(CH3)2SO2

This powder can be re-hydrated in water or fruit juice, it can be encapsulated or added to a herbal powder blend. Its taste is very sour so it is best to mask the taste if possible.

Serving:

MSM can be taken daily, a typical dose is anything from 2g - 8g. It should be introduced slowly starting with 1g - 2g per day, then gradually increased. 

1 teaspoon equals 3 grams (1 tsp = 3g)
Contraindications:

MSM is safe for people currently taking medications. However MSM can thin blood, so should not be taken at the same time as blood thinning medications, unless approved by a medical doctor. It is safe for children and pregnant women. MSM is not similar to inorganic sulfites to which many people are allergic. It is not a recognized allergen.

Manufacture Process

The manufacturing process of Indigo Herbs MSM Powder was designed to closely mirror the naturally occurring development of MSM crystals in the upper atmosphere. Once this process gets underway crystals start to form in a warm body of water which is then spun at high speeds to separate most of the water from the newly formed crystal. The remaining solution is then filtered to make sure that the solution is free from any contaminants before being allowed to cool to form solid crystals. When the MSM forms into lattice shaped crystals any other particles that have attached themselves immediately disconnect because of the form of the crystalline shape. This stage is closely monitored to ensure that all pollutants are completely free from the crystals before the final stage of drying. After the sugar like MSM Powder is completely dry it is screened one last time before it is made available for packing and shipping.

Had trouble getting my normal Pure Vegan MSM on Amazon, so searched the web, come up with Indigo Herbs! I find MSM indispensable and have been using it for over 20 years to increase energy and stamina (say on an exta long hike). I also use it if I start to get arthritic pains and to kill other pain. Once one of my back teeth split from top to bottom (the amalgam filling had expanded over time) and by throwing a teaspoonful of MSM powder at it, I slept the night and then another application kept the pain away till I could get to the dentist in morning. Indigo Herbs charge a very good price for MSM and delivery was very fast despite it being by normal post.
