Making a delicious cup of tea with loose leaf herbs is simple and easy. Brewing loose leaves is a traditional art with many different styles and varying items of tea brewing equipment on the market. There are one cup teaballs that can be filled with loose leaves, flowers, and barks and submerged straight into a boiling cup of hot water and then left to infuse. The rule of thumb with brewing loose leaves is to allow them to fully release their beneficial aromatic phyto-chemical content.

This process is lovingly called brewing and takes 5-10 minutes so a tea cosy is recommended if you are using a pot. When making a pot of tea it is advised that you use one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per person and one for the pot. Any true tea maker who truly appreciates the art would recommend heating the pot first, and of course when the tea is fully infused it is absolutely necessary that the drinker sits down and takes a minute to enjoy! For full instructions go to our How to make Herbal Tea Page.

Grab a teapot, a cafeteria or your tea making equipment of choice. The botanical ingredients can be made into an herbal tea by infusing the herb in boiling water. Use 1 cup of boiling water per person. Let the tea brew for 5 - 15 minutes. Strain and enjoy.

Serving:

Use 1-3 teaspoon to 1 cup of boiling water up to three times a day.

1 teaspoon equals 2 grams (1 tsp = 2g)
  • Produced to GMP standards.

Manufacture Process

Indigo Herbs Mugwort Leaf Tea comes from plants that are grown for the specific use as tea. All plants are grown under supervision and soil checked regularly for heavy metals and toxins. When this perennial is at peak maturity the leaves are separated from the root and air dried in the shade so none of the chemical constituents are destroyed by the sun. The leaf cut is then tested again for any pollutants before being shipped. This process complies with GMP standards and has the Indigo Herbs seal of approval.

Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

I have a cup before bed, it really helps with a GOOD nights sleep. I suffer from IBS type symptoms, and it feels like it is soothing some of the cramping. Personal I like the taste, I don’t have milk, it reminds me of green tea.

Tried this from a few suppliers, was hoping this would be better quality but it still has a lot of stem mixed in. It's ok for tea but less good for smoking. I'll have to find and dry my own!
