Making a delicious cup of tea with loose leaf herbs is simple and easy. Brewing loose leaves is a traditional art with many different styles and varying items of tea brewing equipment on the market. There are one cup teaballs that can be filled with loose leaves, flowers, and barks and submerged straight into a boiling cup of hot water and then left to infuse. The rule of thumb with brewing loose leaves is to allow them to fully release their beneficial aromatic phyto-chemical content.

This process is lovingly called brewing and takes 5-10 minutes so a tea cosy is recommended if you are using a pot. When making a pot of tea it is advised that you use one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per person and one for the pot. Any true tea maker who truly appreciates the art would recommend heating the pot first, and of course when the tea is fully infused it is absolutely necessary that the drinker sits down and takes a minute to enjoy! For full instructions go to our How to make Herbal Tea Page.

Manufacture Process

The flowers that are used for Indigo Herbs Passion Flower Cut Tea come from plants that are grown specifically for the use as tea. Cultivated in close proximity, the passion flowers first reach maturity before they can be cut and dried in semi shade. Only the best prime examples of the leaf and flower are used in our tea. Damaged or underdeveloped leaf is disregarded through a process of elimination. The best plant matter is then slow dried out of direct sunlight and tested for pollutants to make sure that you get only the very finest leaf for your tea.

100% Pure Passiflora incarnata leaf & flower

Do not take Passion flower when pregnant, or if you have a serious liver disease.

Used in the recommended serving amounts, Passion flower is generally safe and has not been found to negatively interact with other sedative drugs. However, some experts suggest not using Passion flower with MAO-inhibiting antidepressant drugs. Passion flower has not been proven to be safe during pregnancy and lactation.

I ordered this tea after doing some research for heal benefits. And as a sufferer of Generalised Anxiety and Panic disorder its known for this purpose to calm a person, and can be used for sleeping issues, ADHD, pain and so much more. I suffer from a chronic pain condition and a condition that causes chronic pain and effects sleep. I tried this tea, its too early to say the natural effects, it digests well, doesn’t smell the best but maybe a sprinkle of lemon verbena or lavender in there could help, but its totally drinkable. The packaged is sound, keeps it fresh (i have too many teas for jars) delivery in a pandemic was quite quick and impressed with the turnaround. Overall impressed and would purchase more of the same and others.
