Organic Pinto Beans 1kg from Indigo Herbs are well known in Mexican cuisine and are also known as Strawberry Bean and Speckled Bean. Pinto beans are loaded with fibre, minerals and protein making them a great addition to any diet. Use pinto beans in Asian or South American dishes. These are great in refried bean dishes and in home made burritos.

To Prepare:

Soak the beans in cold water overnight

To Cook:

Drain and rinse the beans thoroughly. Place in a pan and cover with fresh water, bring to the boil. Boil rapidly for 10 minutes then cover and simmer for 45 - 50 minutes or until the beans are tender.
