Chamomile Flowers Tea

The botanical ingredients can be made into an herbal tea by infusing the herb in boiling water. Use 1 cup of boiling water per person. Let the tea brew for 5 - 15 minutes. Or alternatively; 1/2 cup of flowers to 2 liters of hot water to add to the bath tub.

Serving:

1-2 tsp Chamomile flowers per 1 cup of boiling water up to 3 times a day

Teaspoon Weight: 1 teaspoon equals 0.65 grams (1 tsp = 0.65g)

The traditional ways of ingesting essential oils are;

• Via the respiratory system and by the olfactory senses
• Through the skin, by applying via massage, baths or topically applied creams or compresses.

For therapeutic use the pure essential oils can be: diffused in an oil burner, or directly inhaled as a steam inhalation or dispersed into the environment as a room spray. These methods enable the oils to be ingested through the respiratory system.

The oils can also be added to a carrier such as an oil or a cream and applied to the skin directly. There are certain areas of the skin that are more permeable such as pulse points on the wrists and temples, so drops of diluted essential oils can be applied here for effective absorption. (Essential oils need to be diluted when applied directly to the skin). The oils can also be absorbed by adding to a bath as neat drops, or diluted into a light oil, or milk. (Both the oil and milk dilute the intensity of the oils and help the oils disperse into the bath water, it is recommended that the oils are diluted particularly for sensitive skin and children.)

De-stress & Unwind Massage Oil

This essential oil blend has been added to a carrier oil and can be applied to the skin directly. An aromatherapy body massage is a wonderful way to benefits from the therapeutic effects. Simple pour a little oil into the palm of the hand and rub across the body in long massage strokes. No not go out in direct sunlight after an aromatherapy massage. Allow 12 hours for the oils to fully absorb before washing the skin.

These Chamomile plants were harvested and grown in Egypt where they underwent a series of checks to maximise quality and production. All plants are screened and tested thoroughly before harvest. The flower heads are cut away, cleaned, inspected for quality and damage before being air dried out of direct sunlight. The Chamomile flowers are then tested for pollutants and foreign chemical profiles. This Chamomile Tea is of the highest quality and has been given Indigo Herbs seal of approval.

All the essential oils we use in our unique blends are manufactured to GMP standards using steam distillation, extraction or expression. During steam distillation the plant matter is put into boiling water or infused with steam. The steam is collected and the oils are separated from the water. During extraction, a solvent is used to extract the oil, by creating a concrete. This concrete is made up of plant matter, resins, waxes, and essential oils. A second solvent, such as ethyl alcohol is used to extract the essential oils from the concrete, this creates an absolute. During expression the plant matter is pressed (at cool temperatures) to release the oils. All of the carrier oils we use in our proprietary blends are 100% natural pure and cold pressed.

It should not be combined with warfarin or other medications or supplements that have the same effect or be used by people with bleeding disorders. It shouldn't be used two weeks before or after surgery.

When applying the De-stress and Unwind Essential Oil to the skin make sure to mix this pure oil with a carrier (cream, almond oil) so as to not burn the skin. Keep away from eyes. Not to be ingested.
