Rue is a common herb that can be found in gardens throughout the world. It's famous for having a very pungent musky scent and being a favourite of the Romans. The leaves are edible but have a strong bitter taste and are used as seasoning in some dishes. Fast growing, this herb has very pretty oval, raindrop shaped leaves and sprays of yellow flowers. Rue should always be taken in small quantities.
Rue Tincture from Indigo Herbs is derived from premium quality Ruta graveolens leaves. Rue is also known by many other names, one of them being 'herb-of-grace'. It has several traditional uses and is most well known as being an insect repellent. Rue Tincture can be mixed with a little water or juice and taken when required.

Traditionally Taken: 2-3ml taken 2-3 times per day, or as directed by a Herbal Practitioner.

Only mature Rue plants are harvested for their leaves to be made into Rue Tincture. After the leaves have been cut and cleaned they are inspected for animal damage and selected for the best specimens to be processed. The selected Rue leaves then undergo a process of cold percolation in order to extract the active constituents into tincture form. The cold percolation method employs a gradient circulation of the solution which keeps the plant ingredients in perpetual contact with the ethanol. This technique is faster and more efficient than maceration and ensures there is less waste of precious plant materials. This premium quality product is manufactured to GMP standards and Quality Assured by Indigo Herbs.
