Sea Buckthorn Berries from Indigo Herbs are exceptionally high quality berries of the Hippophae rhamnoides tree. The small, orange berries have a tart, fruity flavour and can be used to make jams, juices, purees, and sauces or simply rehydrated with hot water to make a delicious, nutritious tea. Traditionally used to promote healthy digestion and for its anti-aging and beautifying properties, Sea buckthorn was also used to strengthen ancient Greek horses and restore their coats to a brilliant lustre.

Mongolian legend tells us that in the 13th century, the famous Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan credited Sea Buckthorn with giving his armies the incredible strength and endurance they needed to conquer their enemies.
