Manufacture Process
When a tree has reached a maturity of 5 years or over then the root is ready to be harvested. At Indigo Herbs we have made sure that none of the Eurycoma longifolia trees used in our Tongkat Ali Extract Powder 200:1 comes from sources where the rainforest is in danger from deforestation. Our supplier only uses mature trees that are responsibly harvested and replaced with young saplings in a plantation environment. The site is completely free of any kind of industrial pollution and no pesticides are used during growth, harvest or production into an extract powder. After harvest of the mature tree the root is washed and cleaned before being dried for about a month. The root is then chipped using specialized electronic equipment and heated at 15 minute intervals in pure water for 48 hours. This soak water, with all the Tongkat Ali phytochemical constituents imbued within is then evaporated taking a further 72 hours. The evaporation process creates crystal dry flakes which are finely milled and stored in air tight containers finishing the process of phytochemical extraction. This powder is what Indigo Herbs then ships out as our Tongkat Ali Extract Powder 200:1
Please note that sometimes the colour of our Tongkat Ali Extract may change from batch to batch. This is because the root of the Eurycoma longifolia can vary from a darker to lighter hue and this is translated to the colour of the Tongkat Ali Extract Powder. The colour does not affect the very good quality of this extract.
