Manufacture Process

Indigo Herbs Organic Hemp Protein Powder is produced and grown in China adhering to strict Organic quality regulations. The Cannabis sativa cultivar requires very little assistance to grow to its fullest potential. This is because of the hemp plants natural endurance to many environmental conditions eliminate the need for pesticides and other chemicals. In hemp fields weeds are scarce since high density planting and a strong root system dismiss the need to treat soil for undesirable plant species. After about 100 days the plant reaches full maturity and the seeds are extracted from the plant when they acquire the right colour and sheen. After the harvest the whole hemp seeds are first cleaned then sieved. Then passed through a stone and metal detector to remove any further debris. Then the whole hemp seeds are cold-pressed and crushed with no risk of the essential fatty acids being destroyed by heat. The rich oil is filtered and bottled and the remaining solid protein rich cake is left as residue. This cake is then dried and carefully milled, removing all seed fibres and leaving this nutty fine protein rich Hemp powder.
