Here are our Wheatgrass products; including our Organic freeze-dried Wheatgrass powder and our premium quality Organic New Zealand Wheatgrass Powder. At Indigo Herbs we understand the importance of a quality and nutrition, so we ensure these products come to you with the natural phyto-nutrient properties of the young Wheatgrass shoots in-tact.
Wheatgrass has a history of traditional use as a beneficial nutrient rich food supplement. One of the very first investigations into the properties of Wheatgrass occurred in the 1930’s when the Agricultural Chemist Dr. Charles Schnaber observed hens having a preference to young growing Wheatgrass shoots over all other food stuffs. After adding dried Wheatgrass shoots to the chickens feed Dr. Schnaber recorded an increase in egg production, added vitality and a greater resistance to illness in the chicken population.
Some twenty years later in the 1950’s noted nutritionist Ann Wigmore started to publicize the benefits of Wheatgrass through her Living Food Healing Program. This was the first major step in bringing Wheatgrass to the fore as a nutrient rich, detoxifying, natural food supplement. Ever since Ann Wigmore’s work, Wheatgrass has been pioneered for a myriad of uses in supplementing a healthy balanced diet.
Carrying on this tradition Indigo Herbs is offering you an Organic Wheatgrass Powder of unparalleled quality. All our Wheatgrass comes from young healthy shoots fed by pure water sourced from deep below the ground free from contaminants and pollution. It is nurtured in living organic soil, grown in warm sun where it can assimilate the sugars in its leaves and converts them to complex carbohydrates. This process produces an abundance of nutrients and minerals which make Wheatgrass such a rewarding supplement for a healthy balanced lifestyle.
I love Indigo - I trust their products and delivery is fast and efficient. But one gripe - when I went to my basket this time I almost bought an expensive item I didn’t want and hadn’t placed there - fortunately I noticed that the total was twice as much as it should have been. This expensive item was something I had previously bought. This to me smacks of sharp practice and is something I might expect from say Amazon, not Indigo Herbs. Please correct me if I’m wrong and something strange happened.
