Wood Betony Products
A perennial grassland herb native to Europe, western Asia and North Africa, Wood Betony has clusters of small purple flowers on upright stems which reach 30-60cm. It flowers in mid-summer and is found in meadows and open woods. The first reference to the herbal benefits of Wood Betony occurs in a work by the Roman physician Antonius Musa who claimed it as being effective against sorcery. It has long been believed to be effective against bad dreams, and is commonly found planted in churchyards to prevent activity by ghosts.
