We believe that optimum health and nutrition are fundamental to us to reaching our personal best.
We also believe that the relationship between individuals and authority is shifting and that, driven by the democratization of knowledge through the internet, people are taking back responsibility for their own personal health and nutrition, and that the prescriptive “one pill fits all” model is dead.
Our dream is to make an effective public stand on the role of health and nutrition and to make quality, natural, health and nutrition products a choice for everyone by making them available and affordable.
We also believe that abundant and successful businesses can and should be an ingredient in social justice. We dream of pioneering an equitable economic arrangement between suppliers, customers, staff and everyone involved in Indigo Herbs, thus co-creating a groundswell of conscious trade.
Who are we?
Indigo Herbs started life in 2005 in a garden office in Glastonbury, Somerset, UK. At that time, we found that no-one sold quality herbal ingredients like Ashwagandha in retail units. We soon realised that there was a market for a 'global village apothecary' and Indigo Herbs began trading. It became clear that people are increasingly taking responsibility for their own health and wellbeing and that we could play a part by making top quality ingredients available at reasonable prices. We were determined to do this in an ethical and environmentally responsible way.
By 2011 we had outgrown our garden company headquarters and we moved the business to a nearby trading estate. Here we have continued to grow and our ongoing success is a result of our commitment to building an awesome team who can deliver quality and excellence.
